Walter de' Silva and Luc Donckerwolke
In the late Spring 2003, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary
of Automobili Lamborghini, the "Centro Stile Lamborghini" will be officially
inaugurated at Lamborghini Head Quarters at Sant Agata Bolognese. It will be the
crown jewel of the prestigious car manufacturer established in 1963 by
Ferruccio Lamborghini and, as of 1998, part of the Audi Group.
It will occupy a wing of the new building - construction work has already
commenced - which will also house Customer Services, the new Historic Car
Restoration Centre and Lamborghini Marine Engines.
The "Centro Stile Lamborghini" has been strongly supported by Walter de Silva
(51) Head of Design of the Audi Brand Group, consisting of Audi, Seat and
Lamborghini.
The "Centro Stile Lamborghini" will be headed by Luc Donckerwolke (37) who has
already teamed up with the Sant Agata based engineers for the development of the
Murciilago. It will be run in the true tradition of a styling "atelier".
The new structure is aimed at being a creative design centre where culture,
innovation and a true sense of beauty will blend with the most modern of
development tools. The concept is to attain the highest Italian tradition of
body design and all that is quintessential in the world of automobiles.
