The V12 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 makes its
Chinese debut on Lamborghini’s stand at the Auto
Shanghai 2011. The new V12 flagship of the
Lamborghini super sports car brand is redefining
the super sports car market, with not only
extraordinary performance but with lightweight
engineering technologies and unparalleled
design.
Lamborghini is also unveiling the Gallardo LP
550-2 Tricolore at a special off-site event held
in the Shanghai Expo: a fitting location for the
exclusive special edition of the highly
successful Lamborghini Gallardo model designed
to pay homage to Italy.
China is an extremely important market for
Lamborghini, achieving over 150% sales growth in
2010 compared to 2009.
In 2011 Lamborghini will expand its dealership
network to 20 dealers from fourteen today.
Lamborghini has now state of the art sales and
service at facilities Lamborghini in Shanghai
(with two showrooms), Guangzhou, Beijing,
Chengdu, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Dalian, Qingdao,
Wuhan, Xiamen, Chongqing, Kunming, Tianjin,
making a total of fourteen locations in mainland
China.
Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of
Automobili Lamborghini, said: “Our presence at
Auto Shanghai 2011 reflects the importance of
the Chinese market, which is now our second most
significant after the USA. The appeal of the
Lamborghini brand in China is illustrated by the
launch here of the Gallardo LP 550-2 Tricolore:
definitively Italian, and with all the
performance and handling a Lamborghini Gallardo
promises. Demand for our cars continues to grow:
our worldwide order book for the Lamborghini LP
700-4 Aventador is already eighteen months ahead
of production.”
Lamborghini has also chosen the occasion of the
Shanghai motor show to unveil its new exhibition
stand. A powerful black monolithic structure
with huge external walls, that display
Lamborghini’s famous brand films during shows,
complement the white interior, which creates a
perfect backdrop for Collezione Automobili
Lamborghini – Lamborghini’s official merchandise
range. The cars, as always, are the protagonists
of the display and this new stage is designed to
display the cars to their maximum, reflecting
the extreme, uncompromising and Italian style of
Lamborghini with no detraction from the cars
themselves.
“The Lamborghini brand has very strong appeal in
China, so it is fitting we should launch our new
show stand here,” said Stephan Winkelmann.
“Lamborghini also runs regular events in China,
including at least one track day every month,
Winter and Track Academies, which allows our
clients to explore the Lamborghini brand and
lifestyle alongside the cars.”
