THE FACTORY REGISTRO LAMBORGHINI
“The goal of the Register is to identify the best maintained vehicles and/or those restored to their original state”. The models that will be considered for the Register are pre-Countach models (Editor’s Note: now it is pre-Diablo). The Register’s “Technical Commission , in its sole discretion, may consider registering any unique prototype officially manufactured, or otherwise acknowledged by Automobili Lamborghini, as well as other vehicles derived from Lamborghini vehicles. The decision of said Commission as to the registration shall be exclusive and final. Due to the particular historical value of their vehicles, owners of: Diablo SE, Diablo SVR, Diablo GT and Diablo GTR may apply for registration as well.”
The Registro was established in 2003. The first opportunity for inspection was at the factory’s 40th Anniversary Event, May 2004, in Italy. Lamborghini Owners may again have the opportunity to present their Lambos for inspection by factory staff for possible inclusion in the Lamborghini Registro at this year’s Lamborghini Club America’s Monterey Meet, August 12th through 15th ,at the Concorso Italiano. We will post on the www.lamborghiniclub.com site the confirmation that there will be inspections at this year’s Concorso.
Another technical inspection opportunity will be at this year’s Concorso Italiano. There is a very extensive and detailed application form that you must complete in advance for factory review. 2003 has been a very important and full year for Lamborghini, but the most relevant event has been the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Factory’s birth: right in this occasion the Registro Lamborghini has been founded, to underline the real importance that the Factory acknowledges to the past, to the tradition and to the historic values of the brand.
The all of you who participated with your cars to the Inspections, represent a piece of the Factory’s history and now, with the entry in the Registro Lamborghini Association you have the opportunity to become an official part of it.
Several are the advantages to be an ASSOCIATE of the REGISTRO LAMBORGHINI:
First of all, with the lifetime registration of the inspected car, certified by the Technical Committee and enrolled in the prestigious pages of the Registro Storico, the commercial value of the vehicle will increase.
Furthermore, a 20% discount on spare parts purchased through the dealer’s network, a free of charge annual check of the car and free of charge release of certificates of origin and certificates with the original technical features of the car are granted to Associates.
The Associate has the right to participate to dedicated exclusive events and initiatives and the possibility to have privileged contacts with the Factory.
Finally, why not, the Associate can get the exclusive entry package which will foresee, every year, different and precious objects studied on purpose for the Registro. For the 2004, Italian stylist Stefano Ricci of Classico Italia has designed the official Registro tie but other surprises are waiting for you….
